Field Technician

Primary Responsibilities:
Operate and Monitor: Safely operate PFAS destruction equipment at wastewater facilities or other environmentally impacted sites. Continuously monitor operating parameters to ensure systems are functioning within established operational guidelines. Collecting and documenting process samples for performance evaluations. Operate auxiliary equipment such as pumps and filters.Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Track and perform maintenance on PFAS destruction systems and related equipment, providing feedback on system and process improvement. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA, HAZWOPPER, and other applicable standards. Regularly inspect equipment for safety hazards and take corrective actions as necessary.Travel & Shift Flexibility: Travel to various client sites across the country as required. Travel may involve being away from home up to 40% of the year, with trips lasting up to 1 month. Willingness to work night shifts (approximately 10% of the year) and weekends as needed.Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports of equipment operations, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and technical staff to maintain and improve processes for assembly, maintenance, and system operation. Provide and receive technical training, ensuring consistent application of best practices across the team.Facilities & Equipment Management: Ensure site facilities, tools, and equipment are well-maintained and meet operational demands. Conduct routine inspections to anticipate needs and address potential issues promptly.Are you the person we need?
Must-Have Qualifications
Passion for Environmental Impact: Motivated to contribute to sustainable, high-impact solutions.Education & Experience:2 years of relevant operations experience—or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience in a related field.Technical Skills:Competent with basic power tools (e.g., drills, air tools) and hand tools.Basic electrical knowledge. Ability to wire 24V DC and 120 AC components, voltage testing, schematicsDemonstrated critical assessment and decision-making abilities in a production or operations environment.Microsoft products (Word, excel, powerpoint)Ability to lift 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for up to 8 hours.Professional & Organized Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and documentation.Organized work habits and ability to follow instructions precisely.Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Person or equivalent per export control laws).Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Background in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental, Wastewater, or related fields is a plus.CAD Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and ability to interpret assembly drawings.Fluid Piping Systems Knowledge: Understanding of pumps, tubing/fittings, and related industry standards.
Electrical & Instrumentation Skills: Experience with wiring up to 480V AC, control panel fabrication, and cable routing.Relevant Certifications: OSHA, HAZWOPER, or similar training certifications.Work Schedule & Compensation
Employment Type: Full-time (1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts possible)Work Days: Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends or overtime as neededTravel:Up to 40% travel to project sites across the United States and internationally, including visits to Department of Defense (DoD) facilities.Must be eligible to access DoD sites, which may require passing a background checkMust have or be able to obtain a valid passport (and any necessary visas) for international travel.Location: Primarily in-person at project sites or our Tacoma, WA facility (60–80% in-person role)Compensation: Hourly range $30-35
