The role

As Marketing Consultant, you will work closely with our CEO, Louise, and play a vital role in driving the business forward effectively. Your marketing responsibilities will revolve around communication strategy formulation and implementation to support our growing company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Bluemethane's mission of capturing methane emissions from water to reduce global warming.

Who we are

Bluemethane measures, captures, and utilises methane from water, effectively reducing global warming and supporting the energy transition. Our mission is to capture one billion tonnes of greenhouse gases from water through methane removal. As part of our team, you will be a key member contributing to our mission's success.

Key responsibilities

You will collaborate closely with our CEO and your duties will include:

  • Developing our marketing plan to expand our reach and engage potential customers.
    • Responsible for our website design and content, social media and email newsletters.
    • Set up and execute an editorial calendar for marketing communications.
    • Project manage online webinars and conference events.
    • Enhancing Bluemethane's profile as a thought leader in methane recovery from water.
  • Implementing the marketing plan and tracking its performance against goals.
  • Managing budgets for communication activities.

What we are looking for

We seek a dynamic, motivated and self-starting individual with:

  • At least 8 years of experience in marketing.
  • A passion for writing content, and a clear writing style.
  • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Knowledge of (or excited to learn) WordPress, Tatsu, Hubspot, LinkedIn, Canva.
  • Good Powerpoint or Keynote skills.
  • Self-motivation with a passion for addressing the climate emergency.
  • Resilience and determination to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities, putting Bluemethane's vision and team first.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of simplifying complex problems.
  • Openness to giving and receiving feedback constructively.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset.

Location

This is a part-time contract position with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time employee. Bluemethane is based on the Cranfield University Campus. This position is remote or hybrid.
