Summary:

Type: Full time, 40 hrs per week.

Location: In-person at Bluemethane’s office on the Cranfield University campus.

Salary: £29,000 - £32,000, depending on experience.

Additional Benefits: Share options.

Preferred start date: 02/09/2024.

Required experience: Minimum 5 years in operations roles.

The role:

As Operations Manager, you will work closely with our CEO, Louise, and play a vital role in driving the business forward effectively. Your responsibilities will revolve around enhancing our internal processes to support our growing company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Bluemethane's mission of capturing methane emissions from water to reduce global warming.

Who we are:

Bluemethane measures, captures, and utilises methane from water, effectively reducing global warming and supporting the energy transition. Our ultimate goal is to capture one billion tonnes of greenhouse gases from water through methane removal. As part of our team, you will be a key member contributing to our mission's success.

Key responsibilities:

You will collaborate closely with our CEO, CTO and the whole Bluemethane team, and your duties will include:

  • Contributing to the development and management of company processes, including HR processes and IT strategy, in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Overseeing payroll and accounting tasks.
  • Assisting in learning best practices for building a thriving and inclusive remote staff culture.
  • Assisting the CEO in prioritising grant applications and providing support for their completion.
  • Creating the internal processes in Bluemethane that will enable it to grow and thrive.

What we are looking for:

We seek a dynamic, motivated and self-starting individual with:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations roles.
  • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Knowledge of (or excited to learn) HubSpot or other CRM system.
  • Good Powerpoint or Keynote skills.
  • Self-motivation with a passion for addressing the climate emergency.
  • Resilience and determination to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities, putting Bluemethane's vision and team first.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of simplifying complex problems.
  • Openness to giving and receiving feedback constructively.
  • A bias to action – you get things done.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead and follow up on operational processes.

Location:

This is a full-time employment position. Bluemethane is based on the Cranfield University campus. This position is in-person.
