We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Investor Relations team in fostering and maintaining relationships with Limited Partners (LPs). This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venture capital, focusing on LP engagement, communication, and strategic initiatives. The role is designed for professional learning and/or academic coursework, with an emphasis on collaboration and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing relationships with existing LPs through personalized communication, updates, and proactive outreach.
- Help prepare investor newsletters, reports, presentations, and other materials tailored to LP interests.
- Maintain and update the investor database and data room to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of information.
- Collaborate with the investment team to prepare quarterly performance reports and portfolio updates for LPs.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts by supporting capital raising activities and identifying potential new LPs.
Key Skills
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a 1-3 year professional track record of nailing everything that has been put in front of them to the wall.
- Is fun, interested, interesting, and learns fast.
- Reads a lot and writes well.
- Is a good judge of character.
- Can work closely with a supervisor to rapidly understand, break down, and communicate a complex set of facts clearly and succinctly - while also communicating their own point of view.
- Can deal with a lot of plates spinning at the same time, keeping all of them aloft and unbroken.
Stretch Skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Previous experience investor relations or venture capital.
- Previous experience in water.
- Relevant ops knowledge (Zapier, Airtable, Squarespace, basic coding).
- A great sense of humor.
Compensation
This unpaid internship is designed to provide academic credit and hands-on experience in the field of water-focused venture capital. Candidates must be enrolled in a program that allows for credit-based internships. Applicants should verify with their institution that this internship meets credit eligibility criteria.
