Sales Development Representative

The Decision Blue® platform helps our clients reach their full water treatment plant optimization potential. Fontus Blue delivers actionable insights, key performance indicators, and water treatment opportunities to our clients, guiding them on their overall water treatment plant optimization. By providing these services, we can assist with providing truly exceptional water for our customers.
As a Fontus Blue Sales Development Representative, you’ll be a key founding member of our fast-growing sales team. As such, you will be our boots-on-the-ground solution to building personal relationships and making our prospective customers successful. You will leverage your past cold calling and/or lead generation experience to communicate with potential clients via phone, emails, and LinkedIn to develop an interest in Fontus Blue’s platform.
Responsibilities
Raise awareness and generate interest for Fontus Blue through cold calling, emails, and social outreach to prospective customers
Schedule initial discovery calls for Sales Executives
Pipeline organization and collaboration with Sales Executives for qualified meetings
Assist Marketing in promotion of upcoming webinars and tradeshows, reaching out to and driving prospects to the events
Gain business knowledge through researching how different utilities operate, structure their leadership, and what their paint points are
Manage your own book of accounts and set the strategy for effective book management, nurturing and building relationships with prospects
Provide constructive feedback on how to improve effectiveness and efficiency within the SDR role to Director of Sales and Sales Enablement
Collaborate with team members to share and learn from best practices
Travel to conferences and events on behalf of Fontus Blue
Meet or exceed assigned daily activity minimums of 40 calls and 20 emails per day
Base salary + Commission = uncapped earning potential
Qualifications
You have sold in the past and/or have a passion for sales or sales leadership
You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
You have a high degree of resilience, enabling you to bounce back from setbacks
You have a high level of empathy - it is important for our SDR’s to be a good person to both peers and prospects
You have the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines
You possess a player mindset; you strive to grow and develop and never back down from a challenge
Your work ethic is unmatched - anything you don’t know you’ll make up with hard work
You’re extremely coachable and willing to receive and implement feedback
Previous SDR experience is a plus, but not required
