Hydroleap is seeking an experienced Lead Product Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in product development and engineering, with a demonstrated ability to take products from conception to market launch.As a Lead Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to design, develop and launch innovative new products that meet customer needs and exceed business objectives.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop new products and improve existing ones, including ideation, prototyping, testing, and production launch.
- Lead product development projects from concept to launch, utilizing project management skills to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor analysis to inform product development strategies.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including engineering and design specifications, development milestones, and timelines.
- Utilize engineering design tools, software, and simulation programs to optimize product design and functionality.
- Conduct product testing and analysis, including material selection, durability, and performance to ensure products meet customer requirements and standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, assembly, and cost optimization.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party vendors and suppliers for the development and manufacturing of products.
- Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and industry developments to inform product development strategies.
