The Electrical & Ops Engineer’s responsibilities include managing different parts of current and ongoing projects, supervising junior engineers and technicians, preparing estimates for time and material costs, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders. You should be able to work alongside various professionals and create work schedules that meet deadlines. To be successful, you should demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking skills. Outstanding candidates should display a superb work ethic and thrive under pressure.

What you will be doing

  • Involve in all phases of equipment implementation, including on-site installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Prepare necessary documents for system installation (MOS and RA).
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Analyze electrical processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with clients and the engineering team on technical details.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety, cleanliness, and proper work procedures.
  • Coordinate with clients for delivery site preparation.
  • Manage equipment transportation from factory to customer site.
  • Data collection, report compilation, and stakeholder updates.
  • Prepare on-site PTW as per client requirement.
  • Able to work in construction sites, rooftops, confined spaces and work at height.
  • Monitor, supervise and manage on-site contractors.
  • Provide training to operators.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with 2 - 3 years of experience or;
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 3 - 5 years of experience.
  • Water treatment-related experience is an added advantage.
  • Willing to travel overseas for site installation and commissioning works.
  • Able to perform hands-on tasks on-site.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience in cabling, wiring and termination.
  • Class 3 driving license.
