We streamline regulatory compliance, operations, and reporting, empowering customers to manage water resources responsibly and make a lasting environmental impact.Role OverviewWe are seeking an Implementation Engineer Intern to support the technical components of SAMS software implementations for public utilities and private water compliance entities. Reporting to the Implementations Engineering Manager, this role will assist with backend configuration, data migration, integrations, and technical setup required to successfully deploy the platform. The Implementation Engineer Intern will work closely with Implementation Project Managers and other cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience while supporting technical accuracy, data integrity, and system readiness throughout the implementation lifecycle.Key Responsibilities- Assist with backend system configuration to support client-specific workflows, regulatory requirements, and operational use cases.- Support data migration activities including data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading into the SAMS platform.- Help configure and test system integrations such as APIs, file-based data exchanges, and third-party platform connections.- Assist in preparing and managing technical environments, including sandbox and production setups.- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) preparation and go-live support activities.- Help troubleshoot and resolve basic data, configuration, and integration issues with guidance from senior team members.- Collaborate with Implementation Project Managers to support project timelines and milestones.- Document technical configurations, migration steps, and implementation processes.- Escalate technical issues to senior engineers or the Implementations Engineering Manager when needed.Required Qualifications- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.- Basic understanding of backend systems, data handling, or software implementations.- Familiarity with data analysis concepts and troubleshooting technical issues.- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Good verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to work collaboratively with team members across different functions.Preferred Skills- Internship, coursework, or project experience related to software implementation, data systems, or SaaS platforms.- Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.- Exposure to APIs, data integrations, or enterprise systems.- Interest in environmental compliance or government, utilities, and other regulated industries.- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, Python and JSONEqual Employment OpportunityNJBSoft provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
