Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Automation Engineer to support the design and development of PLC-based automation and HMI systems for our bio-renewable technologies. This role offers fresh graduates and early-career engineers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to industrial automation at the intersection of renewable energy, process control, and cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer-Centric Solutions: Collaborate with senior engineers to understand client requirements and translate them into practical automation systems.
  • PLC & HMI Development: Assist in designing, programming, and debugging PLCs and HMIs for bioprocess automation, including reactor and instrumentation control.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure reliable performance and seamless integration.
  • Communication Protocols: Learn and support the configuration of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Profibus, CC-Link, RS-485, Modbus).
  • Sensor Integration: Program and calibrate analog and digital sensors within automation frameworks.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain functional design specifications, wiring diagrams, project reports, and operation manuals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support timely project delivery and continuous knowledge sharing.
  • R&D Support: Contribute to R&D initiatives on closed-loop automation, HMI, and IoT features for next-generation renewable energy systems.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Strong interest in industrial automation and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and sensors.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork orientation, and analytical mindset.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting aptitude.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Familiarity with Siemens PLCs and Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Exposure to Industrial IoT concepts or projects.
  • Knowledge of electrochemistry, renewable energy, or green hydrogen.
  • Prior internship or project experience in process automation.
