SatSure is hiring a mid-level Product Manager – Data Platform to lead the development of a scalable internal data stack supporting geospatial data workflows. This role involves collaborating with data engineering and cross-functional teams to optimize data delivery, reliability, and automation.
About SatSure:
SatSure is a deep tech company that leverages satellite imagery and AI to drive decision-making in agriculture, banking, and infrastructure. We’re on a mission to build scalable, data-driven products that deliver actionable insights for high-impact sectors across emerging markets.
Role:
We are looking for a mid-level Product Manager to lead the development of our internal data platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate with data engineers and internal stakeholders to build a robust, scalable, and high-quality data stack that significantly reduces the turnaround time (TAT) from data generation to delivery.
You will not be expected to write code, but you must possess a deep understanding of how data systems work and a knack for translating business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define and deliver a scalable data platform for managing raster and tabular datasets.
- Understand the end-to-end lifecycle of geospatial data — from generation to delivery — and drive improvements in quality, automation, and timeliness.
- Gather requirements from internal teams (e.g., data scientists, solution architects, product, and sales) and convert them into structured product specifications.
- Own the product roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on business impact, data reliability, and team capacity.
- Define and track key metrics to measure the performance and reliability of the data platform.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand-ups with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Evangelize best practices in data quality checks, metadata standards, and process documentation across teams.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field
Must-have:
- 3–5 years of experience in product management, preferably in a data-heavy or platform-focused role.
- Experience working closely with data engineering teams; familiarity with how data pipelines are designed and operated.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle and backlog management.
- Ability to write clear, concise product requirement documents and ask the right technical questions to uncover constraints and edge cases.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making trade-offs between speed, quality, and scope.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about geospatial data, satellite imagery, and related tools.
Good-to-have:
- While you won’t be writing code, you should be familiar with or willing to quickly learn about:
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, etc.)
- Data Pipeline Orchestration: Apache Airflow
- Geospatial Tools: QGIS, STAC (SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog), PyGeoAPI
- Data Storage & Access: Apache Iceberg, raster and tabular dataset management
- Version Control & Documentation: Git, Confluence, Jira
Benefits:
- Medical Health Cover for you and your family, including unlimited online doctor consultations
- Access to mental health experts for you and your family
- Dedicated allowances for learning and skill development
- Comprehensive leave policy with casual leaves, paid leaves, marriage leaves, and bereavement leaves
- Twice a year appraisal
Interview Process:
- Intro call

- Interview rounds (ideally up to 3-4 rounds)
- Culture Round / HR round
