We are seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Vice President – Geospatial Technology to lead the geospatial domain across all product verticals. As the senior-most geospatial leader, you will bring deep domain expertise, a strong product mindset, and the ability to bridge cutting-edge geospatial technology with business impact.

You will own the strategy and execution of the geospatial function — from research and prototyping through achieving product-market fit (PMF) to scaling operations — while enabling our AI/ML and Platform Engineering teams to deliver differentiated, market-ready solutions. This role requires a rare combination of domain depth, operational experience, product thinking, and collaborative leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
Domain Leadership:
  • Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for geospatial technology across all product verticals, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer needs.
  • Drive adoption of best-in-class geospatial techniques, data pipelines, and tools relevant to our core markets (e.g., agriculture, infrastructure, banking, etc.).
  • Product and Technology Execution:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data science, engineering, and business teams to integrate geospatial insights into scalable, customer-facing platforms.
  • Ensure geospatial components are productized effectively, contributing to customer value while maintaining scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Bring a customer and business lens to geospatial decision-making — balancing innovation with feasibility and time-to-market.
Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee geospatial data operations, service delivery, and quality assurance.
  • Build and scale processes for efficient ground truth collection, data curation, and multi-market support.
  • Champion automation and standardization to improve cost-effectiveness and reliability.
  • Collaboration & Influence:
  • Act as the primary bridge between the geospatial, AI/ML, and platform engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of domain expertise and technology.
  • Partner with the CTO and senior leadership to evolve organizational structure, talent strategy, and capability development in the geospatial area.
Team Building & Mentorship:
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing, multi-disciplinary geospatial team.
  • Mentor team members to grow their product thinking and operational rigor alongside technical depth.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, Geography, and Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline, is required; a Master’s or higher degree is preferred..
  • 10–12 years of progressive experience in geospatial technology, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
Must-haves:
  • Strong knowledge of geospatial data types (satellite, aerial (fixed wing, drone, etc.), LiDAR, GIS, vector/raster), analytics, and geospatial software ecosystems.
  • Experience with product development lifecycles — from ideation through prototyping, PMF achievement, and scaling.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead operations and service delivery in data-intensive domains.
  • Familiarity with integrating geospatial data and workflows with AI/ML models and cloud platforms.
  • Proven track record of collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
