What You Will Contribute:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key contributor to the Finance team, with a specialized focus on operational variance analysis and budgeting. This role partners closely with operations, financial planning, supply chain, and senior leadership to deliver insights that drive efficiency and cost control across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and a strong communicator who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational variance analysis, including overhead, labor, shop order close and material variances across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on operations-related financial data and provide audit support as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations and plant leadership to develop and manage the operational budget, including overhead allocations and cost center planning.
  • Analyze and report on actual vs. budget performance for operational departments, identifying drivers of variance and recommending corrective actions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate product cost changes, new product introductions, and their impact on operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and scenario planning for operations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or operations-heavy environment.

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with AS400 or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate actionable insights.
