What You Will Contribute:

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining training materials. The materials include videos, E-Learning materials, training plans, student manuals, instructor presentations/guides, training checklists, job aids and quick reference cards. In order to develop such materials the individual will need to have an intimate knowledge of how the software and hardware operates and how customers use the products. The individual must also solicit information from Engineers, Marketing, Technical Support and Training Specialist in order to develop complete training material. In addition to developing training material the individual is required to travel and perform actual customer training approximately 25% of the time. Training will also include remote customer training and internal training when required. Performs internal training and testing when new products or significant changes occur in existing products. Internal training may include presentation style training or hands on type training. Develop, maintain and improve training materials such as guides and quick reference cards. Trainer must document issues, successes, expenses, and follow-up actions after training. Excellent communication and organization skills are required. Ideas, suggestions and resolutions to issues must be communicate between internal personnel, third party vendors and end users of Badger Meter products.

Major Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain training materials.

  • On-site/remote customer training (includes travel, setup time and required post-training documentation)

  • Internal Training and Self Development

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four year college - Computer Science, MIS, Education, Engineering
