What You Will Contribute:

The Renewal Representative will be responsible for managing the renewals process (quotation through order) at existing customer accounts resulting in consistent levels of customer retention, high rates of renewed services and add-on sales. Position will also be responsible for new order processing, quality control and accuracy of orders processed and other customer support activities (procurement systems updating, insurance document compliance, customer support, etc.).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Schedule and process renewals for existing customers including quotation, contract paperwork, purchase order processing and post-order auditing.
  • Maintain accuracy of customer data in Salesforce.
  • Provide forecast updates for renewals and any delayed or jeopardized accounts.
  • Fill customer requests related to establishing or maintaining a qualified vender status.
  • Ensure Insurance documentation is available for customers.
  • Review contracts, service agreements and terms & conditions for content, correctness, and ensure all are reviewed by legal team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with end user customers within wastewater agencies.
  • Through customer interface and “deep listening” keep the sales and management team appraised of customer issues and concerns.
  • Educate existing customers on warranties and new features and capabilities.
  • Support new order processing for parts to complete renewals with both sales Ops and outside sales teams following SmartCover’s Order Entry Process
  • Provide phone support for sales inquiries to main SmartCover line.
  • Develop and maintain rigorous standards for sales documentation, customer information and reporting. Other duties assigned by management as needed,

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or relevant field
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service, sales and/or sales support experience
  • Demonstrated capability to establish, develop and maintain relationships with customers
  • Demonstrated effective ability to succeed in a cross functional “team” selling environment
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity and competitive drive to be successful.
  • Extremely strong written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills. Must be an active listener and influencer in the relationship development process.
  • Ability to initiate customer contacts in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to use and operate: Excel, Salesforce.com, MS Office, Zoom phone, SQL database.
  • Exceptional ability for timely and complete follow-up.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Must be consistently mindful of details and perform work with a high degree of accuracy.
