What You Will Contribute:
As a Building Custodian, you play a vital role in supporting daily operations by maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facility. From ensuring common areas are welcoming to assisting with material movement and minor maintenance tasks, this position keeps the workplace running smoothly for employees, visitors, and partners alike. The Building Custodian is responsible for overseeing material process operations and coordinating maintenance tasks to ensure completion. A Building Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of a facility to ensure a welcoming and functional environment for employees, visitors, and tenants. This role typically involves performing routine cleaning tasks, monitoring and replenishing supplies, and handling minor maintenance duties such as light repairs or reporting issues that require specialized attention.This role will also be responsible for observing safe work habits and maintaining cleanliness of work areas.
This will be a first shift onsite role at our Racine facility.
Job Duties:
Assist with the care and cleaning of floors, restocking supplies around the facility, removal and proper disposal of waste.
Operate hand and powered forklift trucks to transport materials, machine parts, scrap, etc. on company premises.
Utilize maintenance management software to get work assignments and record labor.
Responsible for proper documentation of stock location and transportation of material.
Perform sweeping, cleaning and chip hauling duties in assigned plant areas.
Empty recyclable (plastic and cardboard) and refuse containers throughout the manufacturing facility.
Work with the Environmental & Safety team to support and maintain the hazardous waste storage area and transports hazardous waste to and from the waste storage area and dock area.
Weigh and record weights of recyclables in computer system and load recyclable truck as needed.
Responsible for miscellaneous other assignments such as washing windows, walls, machines, maintain requisition supplies, change light bulbs and shovel snow, and grounds keeping when required.
Education and Experience:
High School/GED preferred
0-1+ years of experience desired
Qualifications:
Basic computer skills required
Ability to pass internal forklift and hazmat training if applicable
Basic math skills required

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a Manufacturing environment
Work is performed indoors/outdoors; may be exposed to heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Depending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and complete an audiogram test
