We are on a mission to solve one of the most critical and life-crippling issues in modern times: water shortage! Unlike other natural disasters that we can’t prepare for, a water crisis is something we can avoid through demand management. The gap between the amount of water available and the amount of water required is rapidly increasing and is an immediate threat across most of the developing world. With WEGOT AQUA, we are able to reduce the demand for water in multi-tenanted buildings by changing people's behavior by attaching a cost to it and billing them for their own consumption. This was previously unavailable in India due to plumbing design. Through our platform, users get access to real-time insights like leakages and abnormal usages. Our platform provides the facility manager the ability to manage the water requirement of the entire campus. We have built a water management platform - WEGOT AQUA, with an aim to reduce water consumption by bringing about a much-needed behavioral change in the way people use water. Having understood the promise of IoT, we have ventured to develop a sensor-based IoT device and a software platform that provides an end-to-end water management solution. WEGOT’s IoT-based sensors enable real-time, data-driven, and automated decision-making to reduce water demand and increase the efficiency of water infrastructure in buildings. WEGOT AQUA tracks the usage at all consumption points and generates bills as per water usage. The sensor also detects and notifies leakages, broken pipes, and abnormal usage in real time via mobile app and web dashboards. Once notified, the user can shut the leaks remotely, thus saving water from getting wasted in leakages. It enables people to be more accountable by making real-time decisions to eliminate any inefficiency in the water infrastructure of buildings in the built environment.
