Design Internship - Summer 2026

You are a Design Intern.
Location: Toronto - Hybrid.
We’re seeking a thoughtful, motivated Design Intern to join our Creative team. This role is perfect for a final-year student or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience contributing to real brands and campaigns.
You won’t just produce assets — you’ll see how strategy translates into design, how systems create consistency, and how creative decisions solve real business problems.
You’ll contribute to visual concepts, campaign development, and final execution while learning how strong design balances clarity, craft, and impact.
What we’re looking for
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Design
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to think through a brief before jumping into execution
- Comfort asking questions, challenging assumptions, and exploring multiple approaches
- Strong eye for layout, typography, and colour
- Attention to detail and commitment to craft
- Curiosity about how brands are built, structured, and maintained across channels
- Openness to feedback and willingness to iterate
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
Proficiency in:
- Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat
- Figma
- Microsoft 365: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Bonus: After Effects or motion design experience
Bonus points if you
- Have a portfolio that demonstrates thinking, systems, and rationale — not just polished visuals
- Can clearly explain your design decisions and the problems you were solving
- Have experience designing for digital and social platforms
- Understand how brand guidelines function as scalable visual systems

Computer workstation: Mac laptop, provided by ChangeMakers
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Location: Toronto
In-office Requirements: Hybrid. Interns are expected to be in the office Tuesday–Thursday, and on Mondays and Fridays as needed.
Duration: Four months (May 4, 2026 – August 28, 2026)
Applications are being accepted until February 27 for a May 4 start date. ChangeMakers' interns are paid minimum wage for a standard 40-hour work week per Ontario employment guidelines.
